2005 Race for the Cure

Location
The Race begins on the Texas Tech University campus at the cornerof Red Raider Avenue and Drive of Champions (6th & Boston). Pre-Race activities and the starting line will be in this area. Refreshments and awards presentations will be located at R.P. Fuller Track. Seating will be available in the stands. Parking will be available in the Lubbock Municipal Coliseum and the Auditorium parking lots.

5k Chip-timed Run/Walk

NEW THIS YEAR!…We are excited to offer chip timing to all 5K participants! BRING YOUR BIB to the 5K check-in table on Race morning to receive your chip. Please note that ONLY chip-timed participants will be eligible for awards. Volunteers will be standing by to collect chips from runners after the Race.

Individuals and Teams can register at www.komen-lubbock.org. Online Individual Registrants need to pick up Race bibs, t-shirts and information at South Plains Mall at registration times (see below). Online Team Registrants see “Teaming Up for the Cure®”.

Registration fee on Race Day is $35.
Registration times are 6:30-7:30am at the Frazier Pavilion.
T-shirt supplies are limited.
NOTE: RACE DAY REGISTRANTS WILL NOT BE TIMED.

T-Shirts and Sponsor Gifts
Race participants will receive a long-sleeve Komen Race for the Cure® t-shirt while supplies last (the first 4,000 registrants only). Participants may choose great gifts from our sponsors by attending the Sprint PCS Expo on Race Day at the north end of RP Fuller Track . Bags and products available while supplies last.

CANCELLATION:This event will occur rain or shine. We reserve the right to cancel in extreme circumstances. In that event, there will be no refunds, rather, your entry fee will be used as a donation to the Komen Lubbock Race for the Cure®.
